AutoCorrect Allowing an application to automatically correct what it sees as errors, such as spelling and capitalizations.
AutoComplete A feature that enables Word to guess what you are typing when you enter commonly used documents words.
Hyperlink a word, symbol, image, or other element in a hypertext document that links to another element in the same document or in another hypertext document
Building block A feature that allows you to create standardized cover pages, headers, footers, tables, etc. This feature can be saved for multiple uses, much like a template.
Quick Parts button (Formally known as AutoText) A feature that allows you to quickly insert text with minimal key strokes.
Symbols a written or printed sign or character that represents something in a specific context.
Thesaurus a book that lists words related to each other in meaning, usually giving synonyms and antonyms
Grammar check A feature that allows you to check for grammatical mistakes in a document.
Equation Button A feature that allows you to format mathematical equations to use for multiple use.
Proofing group Includes tools that allow you to proof your document - ie. Spelling, Word Count, Research, Thesaurus
Review Tab One of seven tabs in MSWord that includes features to review your document. Proofing, Language, Comments, Tracking, Changes, etc.
Format Painter A tool that allows you to copy formatting (font, sizes, colors, borders) that is applied to one piece of text and apply it to others.
Clip Art prepackaged artwork, available on software for use in documents produced on a computer
Fonts a full set of printing type or of printed or screen characters of the same design and size
Style a set of formatting characteristics, such as font name, size, color, paragraph alignment and spacing. Some styles even include borders and shading
