"U" shaped jaw bone. Paired bones, which form the entire upper jaw and contribute to the formation of the roof of the mouth, the floor and lateral walls of the nasal cavity, and the floor of the orbital cavity.
The area of the Mandible where the roots of the teeth are located.
Maxillae - Infra-Orbital Foramen
Area in the cheek bone that houses various nerves and blood vessels.
Maxillae - Palantine Process
Forms floor of nasal cavity and the bony roof of the mouth.
Maxillae - Alveolar Canals
Carry the posterior-superior blood vessels and nerves, found in the Alveolar Process
Maxillae - Anterior nasal spine
Bone at the end of the nose
Maxillae - Zygomatic Process
Cheek bones, attached to zygomatic process.
Mandible - Inferior Nasal Conchae
Pathways of the nasal cavities.
Mandible - Mental Spine
Portion that sticks out.
Mandible - Condylar Process
Head of the Mandible.
Two bones coming together during development.
Mandible - Mandibular Foramen
Hole in the Manidble, cite for blood vessels and nerves.
Maxillae - Alveolar Process
A thick spongy part of the maxilla that houses the teeth (divided into eight cavities, which contain teeth). Most important structure in speech process.
Two (2) obling plates that form the bridge of the nose. Articulating and connecting maxilla.
Zygomatic (malar) Bone
Cheek Bone. Forms the zygomatic arch.
The smallest of the facial bones and form part of the medial wall of the orbital cavity. Articulates with the frontal, ethmoid, maxilla and inferior nasal concha bones.
Inferior Nasal Concha
Makes up the inferiormost part of the lateral nasal wall, articulates anteriorly with the maxilla and posteriorly with the palantine bone, (inferior border) forms the lateral and superior boundaries of the inferior nasal meatus.
Makes up the inferior half of the bony septum. Articulates with the maxillae and plantine bones inferiorly, the perpendicular plate of the ethmoid bone and the rostrum of the sphenoid bone superiorly and the cartilaginous septum of the nose anteriorly.
Consists of the horizontal plate, two lateral masses reffered to as the superious and the middle nasal conchae and a perpendicular plate.
Consists of the cribriform plate, crista galli, perpendicular plate and the ethmoidal labyrinth. Articulates with 15 bones.
Mandible - Coronoid Process
Protusion in Mandible
Mandible - Mental Tubercle
Protusion in Jaw
Mandible - Mental Protuberance
Cleft in Chin
Mandible - Body of Mandible
Mandible - Ramus of Mandible
Sections of Mandible
Mandible - Mandibular Notch
Dip between Mandibular Process and Coronoid Process
Mandible - Jagum of Aveolar Ridge
