Onomatopoeia

The use of words whose sounds suggest their meanings.

Personifictation

A figure of speech in which human qualities are atrributed to an object, animal or idea.

alliteration

The repititon of sounds/letters at the beginning of a word.

metaphor

A comparasin not using like or as.

similie

A comparasin using like or as.

Idiom

A figuritive meaning of the conotation of the word. Different from the literal meaning.

Hyperbole

An overexaggeration.

Pun

Play on words.
