| Treaty of Greenville | Signed in 1795 by leaders of the Miamis and other Indian nations giving up land that would later become Ohio. In return they received $20,000 and the promise of more money if they kept the peace. |
| Whiskey Rebellion | A protest of small farmers in Pennsylvania against new taxes on whiskey in 1794 (the tax was in March 1791) They called themsleves the New Sons of Liberty. It ended without a battle |
| Washington's Farewell Address | He chose not to run for third president term in 1796 because he was "tired of public life". He said that if America has unity, it will be sucsesfull |
