1. Purpose/Question What you want to know or find out?
2. Research/Background Knowledge What you know about the topic (background knowledge) or research conducted in order to find out more about the topic.
3. Hypothesis An educated prediction. What do you think will be the result of your experimentation? Must be testable.
4. Experiment The steps (procedure) you follow to test your hypothesis. You collect data during this process.
5. Analyze Once the experiment is over, collect all measurements and evaluate or analyze them to check if your hypothesis was supported or not.
6. Conclusion The step in which one communicates the results to others in a final report (did your data support your hypothesis?)
