Author of 2 Peter
To those who have obtained a faith of equal standing with ours.
What he wants multiplied to them
Grace and Peace
God has granted to us all things that pertain to what
Life and Godliness
Why we are to make every effort to supplement our faith with these qualities
Because God has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness.
What are the qualities
virtue, knowldge, self-control, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly affection and love.
If these qualities are ours what do they keep us from being
ineffective or unfruitful
What happens to the person who lacks these qualities
He is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins.
Why are we to be diligent to practise these qualities
So that we do not become like the nearsighted person.
What will be provided if we practise these qualities
An entrance into the eternal kingdom of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ.
What does Peter know is soon
The putting off of his body
What is he going to make every effort for
So that after his departure they may be able at any time to recall these things.
What did they not follow when they made known to them the power and coming of our LORD Jesus Christ
Cleverly devised myths
What did they hear when they were with him on the holy mountian
The voice borne from heaven
What is more sure than being with Christ
The prophetic Word
What did prophecy of Scripture NOT come from
Someone's own inteperation
