United States of America | This is the name of our country. It is part of North America. |
Africa | This is one of the seven continents. Egypt, Libya, and the Congo are all countries within it. |
Australia | This is the only continent that is also a country. It is in the southern hemisphere. |
South America | This is the continent that is directly south of our continent. Spanish is the main language spoken in this continent. |
North America | This is the continent that we are part of. It is in the western hemisphere. |
Asia | This is the continent that has more people than any other continent. India and China are both part of it. |
Europe | This is the continent that we often think of when we think about castles and knights. It is connected to Asia. |
Atlantic | This is the ocean we put our toes in when we go to Ocean City. It is between the United States and Europe. |
Pacific | This is the ocean that separates California from Japan. It is the largest ocean. |
Indian | This is the ocean that is south of China and India. It is east of Africa. |
Arctic | This ocean is really cool. Actually it is cold. It is far north where icebergs float and polar bears live. |
Antarctica | This continent is on the far southern part of the planet. It is large, but hardly anyone lives there because it is far too cold. |
