Composition The design or arrangement of the parts on any two-dimensional surface.
Elements of Art Line, shape, form, color, value, space, and texture.

Visual Path A visual journey along a page created by the careful placement of lines, shapes or forms, and colors.
Motif A basic element repeated to create a pattern.
Golden Section An ancient Greek ideal ration that can be expressed in numbers as 0.618034:1.
Expression The emotion, cultural, or social content of a design.
Closure The tendency to complete partial forms or shapes by seeing lines that do not exist.
Illusion A false belief about something you see.
Optical Illusion A false visual perception; seeing something other than what is really there.
Abstract Artwork based on an identifiable subject, but with few or no details, and whose visual elements are simplified or rearranged.
Symbol Images that stand for ideas.
