Preservation | God's work in sustaining creation as part of the same act of creation itself. |
Protoevangelium | Greek for first gospel, it speaks of God's promise to send a redeemer despite original sin. |
Providence | God's will by which every creature, including every human being, is led by grace and nature toward the purpose for which it was created according to God's plan. |
Saint | A member of the Church on earth, in Purgatory, or in Heaven. |
Satan | The prince of fallen angels; the tempter and accuser. |
Stewardship | God's entrusting of the earth's natural resources to mankind in order to care for the world, to master it by labor, and to enjoy its fruits. |
Woman | Name given to the first female human, Eve, because she was made "out of man." |
