tells when and where the story happens. It is the time period and place in which a story occurs.

point of view

the view of the narrator

the atmosphere or feeling in the story

what happens in the story

trait

an interesting thing about a character that makes them special. It could be the way they look or act.

run-on sentence

more than one complete thought put together. It is a group of words with a subject, predicate, subject, and predicate.

fragment

a group of words that does not form a complete sentence. It is a subject that is missing a predicate or a predicate that is missing a subject.

subject

the part of the sentence that tells who or what

predicate

the part of the sentence that tells what the subject is doing
