Alignment

Symmetrical Balance

a picture that is evenly divided horizontally and vertically

Asymmetrical Balance

its off center not even or mismatched on both sides

Radial Balance

has a cirlce pattern

Contrast

use of big and small elements black and white squares and circles

Proximity/Unity

means that the pattern is together grouping elements

Repetition/Consistency

the pattern repeats over and over again

White Space

its just white space on part of the picture is blank

Rule of Thirds and Grids

uses of imagenary grids horizontally and vertically to were it places the more inportant picture

optical pattern

the spot where the eye sees first

z pattern

the pattern the eye follows
