Content The idea being conveyed in a work of art.
Contour The outline of a three-dimensional form.
Cropping Showing only part of an image, giving enough information that viewers can mentally complete it.
Economy Using only what is needed to create an intended effect, eliminating any elements that might distract attention from the essence of an idea.
Edge A boundary along which two different colored areas or surfaces meet.
Focal Point The area which the viewer's eye is most compellingly drawn in a composition.
Medium Materials used to create art, such as pen, pencil, paint, and etc....
Rhythm A particular visual "beat" marking the movement of the viewer's eye through a work, often established by repetition of similar or varying design elements.
