INVERTEBRATE Any animal without a backbone
BILATERAL SYMMETRY A body with two similar halves

WATER VASCULAR SYSTEM System uses water pumps to help the animal move, eat, breathe, and sense its environment
PORIFERA Phylum name for sponges
CNIDARIA Phylum name for coelentrates
PLATYHELMINTHES Phylum name for flatworms
NEMATODA Phylum name for roundworms
ANNELIDA Phylum name for segmented worms
MOLLUSCA Phylum name for mollusks
ARTHROPODA Phylum name for arthropods
ECHINODERMATA Phylum name for echinoderms
