Thyroid Gland | METABOLISM. Shaped like a bow tie and sits inside the neck. Pituitary sends signals to thyroid to control metabolism. |
Adrenal Glands | ADRENALINE. Located on right and left side of the body. Cortex signals major emergency to hypothalamus- tells pituitary which sends hormones to adrenal glands- the adrenal glands then dump adrenaline into bloodstream |
Gonads | REPRODUCTION. Sex glands that produce the sperm or eggs for reproduction. Male sex hormone called androgen, female sex hormone called estrogen. These hormones make us look male or female. |
