Pituitary Gland
MASTER GLAND; GROWTH. Master gland of the body; small bean- shaped unit attached to and controlled by the hypothalamus. Sends messages that start other glands, decides how tall or short we will be, makes growth hormone but inconsistently at times- serve cases can be treated with medication

Pituitary Gland MASTER GLAND; GROWTH. Master gland of the body; small bean- shaped unit attached to and controlled by the hypothalamus. Sends messages that start other glands, decides how tall or short we will be, makes growth hormone but inconsistently at times- serve cases can be treated with medication
Thyroid Gland METABOLISM. Shaped like a bow tie and sits inside the neck. Pituitary sends signals to thyroid to control metabolism.
Adrenal Glands ADRENALINE. Located on right and left side of the body. Cortex signals major emergency to hypothalamus- tells pituitary which sends hormones to adrenal glands- the adrenal glands then dump adrenaline into bloodstream
Gonads REPRODUCTION. Sex glands that produce the sperm or eggs for reproduction. Male sex hormone called androgen, female sex hormone called estrogen. These hormones make us look male or female.
