King granted charter so the spanish in florida wouldnt move north. the spanish kept attacking but Oglethorpe fought them off. He also had a very specific laws of no acohol and slaves. The people were not happy, they wanted large plantations to make money. Oglethorpe soon became broke and lost all of his money trying to make the perfect colony. |
