teaching trial | trial which utilizes the prompt level from the last successful trial of that target. |
correction trial | trial that follows an incorrect response, shows student correct response with some level of prompt. |
transfer trial | trial to fade to a less intrusive prompt. Always uses the same sd as the previous trial. |
time delay | refers to the amount of time between the delivery of the sd and onset of a prompt. |
hold | period of time between acquired criteria and follow up probe to check for mastery. |
acquired | target that moves from acquisition to a hold after meeting the criteria of 3 correct probes in a row. |
mastered | target which results in a correct probe after a 5 day hold. |
maintenance | target which results in a correct probe after 30 days from the mastery date. |
whistle blow | notifying the teacher that there are five probes in a row without a "Y" for that particular stimulus or program. |
five | How many probes in a row without "Y" for that stimulus results in a whislte blow? |

5 day hold | This Tab: _______________ is where cards are placed that have met the acquired criterion. These cards are not taught or probed until the date marked on the card. |
Mastered | This Tab: ________________ is where cards are placed that have already been on a 5 day hold, and then resulted in a correct probe. |
Skills Sheet | This is the place to mark the date that individual stimuli are introduced, acquired, mastered, and a maintenance check. |
Probe Data Sheet | This is the place to mark probed trials as correct or incorrect. |
Cold Probe | trial in which you allow the student to respond independently, you do not help the student at all after issuing the SD. |
Prompt | hint we give to a student to increase the likelihood of a correct response. |
