Functions of Bones

Name the 5 functions of bones.

Support, Protection, Movement, Mineral and growth factor storage, Blood cell formation, and Triglycerid (fat) storage.

The production of all types of blood cells generated by a remarkable self-regulated system that is responsive to the demands put upon it.

Where does hematopoiesis take place?

In the marrow cavities of certain bones.
