patrilineal | fathers side more important for emotional ties or transfer of property and wealth |
egalitarian marriage | - equality between both spouses |
caste | each person has equal rank, occcupation etc. |
matriarchal | a women head of the family |
patriarchal | man head of the family |
extended family | - family consists of all members ie, cousins, grandparents. Usually used when a married couple and children share household with parents |
