|polygon|| Definition: a closed plane figure bounded by straight sides|

|Convex|| Definition: curving or bulging outward|
Sentence: A polygon is convex if no line that contains a side of the polygon contains a point in the polygon.
|Concave|| Definition: curving inward|
Sentence: A polygon that is not convex is a called concave.
|Equilateral|| Definition: having all sides or faces equal|
Sentence: If a polygon's sides are the congruent it is called equilateral.
|Equiangular|| Definition: having all angles equal|
Sentence: A polygon is equiangular if all its interior angles are congruent.
|Regular|| Definition: Equilateral and equiangular|
Sentence: If a polygon is regular it is equilateral and equiangular.
|Diagonal|| Definition: A straight line connecting any two vertices of a polygon that are not adjacent|
Sentence: Diagonals are lines inside a triangle.
|Parallelogram|| Definition: A quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel sides|
Sentence: In addition to quadrilaterals we will learn about parallelogram.
|Rhombus|| Definition: a parallelogram with 4 congruent sides|
Sentence: Rhombuses are shapes in geometry.

Sentence: A rectangles width is congruent and its height is congruent.
|Square|| Definition: A quadrilateral with 4 sides that are equal and has all 90 degree angles|

|Trapezoid|| Definition: a quadrilateral with exactly one pair of parallel sides|
Sentence: A trapezoid always has a parallel pair.
|Isosceles trapezoid|| Definition: a trapezoid with congruent legs|
Sentence: A isosceles trapezoid has two congruent sides.
