Time in Europes History betwwen Fall of Rome and the beginning of Modern Times:Called Dark Ages or Medieval Ages; *Caused by Fall Of Rome

Orginized power and goverment in Europe; First used by Charlemagne; Giving land in return for protection

Catholic Church

gLued together during Middle Ages; Center of life and learning during Middle Ages;Made laws,set up courts,collected taxes; Maintained Hospitals,schools,orphanages,and poorhouses

Lord's Wife: Jobs. manage household, cared for children,supervised traing of pages

peasents who worked on the lords manor; belonged to the land and could no move from manor. jobs: worked on fields and in manor house,made clothing,tools,grinding grain,repairs,construction> win freedom by 1. escaping and staying free for a year and a day< 2. prospering and buying freedom<3. performing a brave deed-freed to study religion and enter into the service of The Church
