Why did Jesus calm the sea? | To teach us that in life stormy things sometimes happen, for example, a parent or friend becoming seriously ill, having to move away to a new town and having to meet new friends. We feel powerless and out of control. When the storm raged, disciples felt powerless too and turned to Jesus. His MIRACLE of quieting the waves and wind was a SIGN that He is the Son of God. He INVITES people to have FAITH in Jesus. |
