Bake

cook in a hot oven with dry heat

Barbecue

To roast or broil slowly on a pan or on a revolving spit over hot coals. Food is usually basted with a spicy sauce

Baste

cover with liquid while cooking, adds moisture and keeps the food from drying out

Beat

stir quickly and hard

Blend

To mix two or more ingredients together well.

Boil

To cook in a liquid in which bubbles rise and break on the surface

Bread

to coat a foos with fine bread crumbs or cereal crumbs

Broil

To cook directly under or above the source of heat (almost touching the heat source)

Brown

To cook food in a little hot fat or in the oven or broiler until the surface turns brown

brush

to cover the surface of a food wih anoter ingredient

Chill

To refrigerate until cold
