### Graphical representation

### Resultant vector

The sum of two or more vectors.

### Component

Scalar projections of the component vectors with positive or negative signs, indicating their directions.
Distance is the magnitude of a vector quantity.

### Pythagorean relationship

States that the sum of the squares of the two sides of a right triangle is equal to the square of the hypotenuse.

### Magnitude

Defined as the angle that the vector makes with the x axis measured counter clockwise in a rectangular coordinate system.

### Vector decomposition

The process of breaking a vector into it's components.

### Displacement

Two vectors projected on the axes of a coordinate system are called this of the resultant vector.
