A : Retract & stabilize scapula
O : Spinous processes of C7 & T1, T2-T5
Ins : Medial border of scapula
Inn : Dorsal scapular nerve C4 & C5

Latissimus Dorsi

A : Arm extension, adduction, rotation; depresses scapula
O : Lumbodorsal fascia into spines of lower 6 thoracic vertebrae, lower 3-4 ribs, and iliac crest
Ins : Spirals around teres major to insert in floor of intertubercular groove of humerus
Inn : Thoracodorsal nerve (C6-C8)

Intertransversarius

A : Synergist in extension, stabilization, & rotation of the spine

A : Extends vertebral column & rotates towards opp. side
O : Transverse processes of the vertebrae in each region

Levator Ani

A : Supports and maintains position of pelvic viscera
O : Extensive linear origin inside pelvis from pubis to ischial spine
Ins : Inner surface of coccyx, levator ani of opp. side, & into structures that penetrate it
Inn : S4 and inferior rectal nerve

Coccygeus

A : Supports pelvic viscera; supports coccyx & pulls forward
O : Spine of ischium
Ins : Sacrum & coccyx
Inn : S4 and S5

Deep Transverse Perineus

A : Supports pelvic organs; steadies central tendon
O : Ischial Rami
Ins : Midline central tendon of perineum
Inn : Pudendal nerve

Sphincter Urethrae

A : Constricts urethra; helps support pelvic organs
O : Ischiopubic Rami
Ins : Midline raphe
Inn : Pudendal nerve
