Protects the people by ensuring that people can only be held if charges are formally filed against them
Lists the positions in line for the President if the President dies or becomes incapacitated. (Vice President, Speaker of the House, President Pro Temp of the Senate, Secretary of State)

These are illegal in the US. Convicts people for actions that were legal when they were committed.
Guaranteed by the 5th Amendment. The process that government must go through before depriving a person of their life, liberty, or property.
