toxic | containing or being poisonous material especially when capable of causing death or serious debilitation. e.g. Radiation from the atomic bombs dropped on Japan was toxic enough to slowly kill millions. |
response | a bodily process occurring due to the effect of some foregoing stimulus or agent. e.g. A body's reaction to adrenaline is to increase heart-rate, contract blood vessels, and dilate air passages. |
