mitosis

the process in which the nucleus divides to form two identical nuclei

chromosome

a structure in the nucleus that contains hereditary material

asexual reproduction

a type of reproduction in which a new organism is produced from one organism and has DNA identical to the parent organism.

fission

where an organism does not contain a nucleus copies its genetic material and then divides into two identical organisms.

budding

a type of asexual reproduction made possible because of cell division

regeneration

the process that uses cell divison to regrow body parts
