| Salt marshes | animals that live here have to be adapted to change water "saltiness" and be able to live in both wet and dry periods of time |
| ex. Salt marshes | in a Mangrove swamp, the kinds of plants that can live there are limited by being able to adapt orlive in salty or fresh water condition |
| Salinity | amount of salt in the water |
| Ecosystem | a community of plants and animals, and non-living things in an enviroment |
| For a plant or animal to be able to SURVIVE in a certain ecosystem | they must be able to meet basic needs |
| Ex. of ecosystem | proper climate, enough food, sheltor,etc |
| NONliving parts equal | soil, sun, temperature, water, air |
| Climate | average weater of a place over a long time |
