Definitions

Standard Form

a number written with one digit for each place value

Expanded Form

a way to write numbers, that it shows each value of the number/digit

Even Number

Even numbers are the numbers you name when you skip counts by 2

Odd number

When you try to put an odd number of things into pairs, there is always one left over

Exponent

A short way of writing 10 times 10(2). The two is called an exponent. The 10 is called a base

Word Form

The value of a number written in words

Short Word Form

The value of a number written using a combination of words AND digits

Expanded Notation

A way to write numbers that shows each digit times the corresponding place value

Integer

The set of whole numbers and their opposites
