Definitions

gravity the force of attraction between all masses in the universe
inertia the tendency of a body to remain at rest or stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside force
standard Specific requirements that must be met by everyone
perspective the appearance of things relative to the viewer (ex. "top view" and "side view")
speed distance travelled per unit time
(ex. mph = miles per hour)
friction the force that opposes (slows) the motion of one surface as it moves across another surface
Laws of Motion Newton's three laws of motion, which explain how objects move
technical drawing A drawing that is used to show the material, size, and shape of a product (in our case, the vehicle)
variable A factor that can change in an experiment
constant a factor that does not change (stays the same) in an experiment
