Map a diagrammatic representation of the earth's surface (or part of it)
Physical Map A map that shows mountains, hills, plains, rivers, lakes, oceans, etc.
Latitude an imaginary line around the Earth parallel to the equator
Birds Eye View Map An aerial view of a location
Political Map A map that shows all the boundaries of nations and other political units
Equator an imaginary line around the center of the Earth

Large Scale Map shows small area but great detail
Small Scale Map Map showing a large area of land but not much detail
Parallel Line two lines that never touch; like lines of latitude on a map.

prime meridian 0 degrees longitude
coordinates the longitude and latitude address of a location on a map
Tropic of cancer a line of latitude about 23 degrees North of the equator
