What types of piles are available? Pile foundations use long wood, steel or concrete.
What type of equipment are used to drive piles? Pile hammers, the most commonly used types include drop, single-acting steam, double-acting steam, diesel, vibratory and hydraulic.
How are caisson foundations constructed? A caisson is a watertight structure used to provide a dry working area for building foundations or structures below water. A caisson foundation is a pier that is drilled into the earth filled with the required reinforcing steel, and poured with concrete.
