mean

The sum of all the data in a set divided by the total number of data values in the set. The mean is often called the average.

median

The middle number in a data set that is arranged in numerical order. If there is an even number of values, the median is the average of the two middle values.

mode

The number or value that occurs most often in the data set. A data set can have more than one mode or no mode.

range

Describes how spread out a data set is. To find the range, subtract the least number in the set from the greatest number in the set.
