Base In a power, the number used as a factor.
Exponent In a power, the number of times the base is used as a factor.
Scientific Notation a way of expressing numbers as the product of a number this is at least 1 but less than 10 and a power of 10.
Rational Number Numbers of the form a/b, where a and b are integers and b does not equal 0.
Irrational Numbers A number that cannot be expressed as a/b, where a and b are integers and b does not equal 0.
Real Numbers the set of rational numbers together with the set of irrational numbers.
Integers the set of whole numbers and their opposites.
Natural Numbers an whole number greater than 0.
Whole Numbers a positive number conatining 0, that does not contain a fraction or a decimal.
