| recess | a short break or intermission in the proceedings which does not close the meeting; gain recognition from chair, second repuired, not debatable, is amendable to time only, majority vote |
| call for the orders of the day | used when the group deviates from the agenda and you would like to follow the agenda; no recognition, not debatable or amendable; if there are objections, 2/3 vote not to follow the orders of the day |
