| Sedimentary Rocks | Rocks formed by sediments compacted and pressed together |
| Fossils | Remains or traces of a plant or animal that lived millions of years ago. |
| Renewable | A resource that we will not run out of or that can be replaced in our lifetime |
| Nonrenewable Resource | A resource that cannot be replaced once it is used up or that would take at least 200 years to replace. |
| Inexhaustible Resource | A resource that cannot be used up |
| Fossil Fuel | Source of energy that formed from the remains of plants and animals buried deep in the earth. Examples: coal, natural gas, and petroleum are fossil fuels |
