Anemia

a deficiency of red blood cells

Iron Deficiency Anemia

a form of anemia due to lack of iron in the diet or to iron loss as a result of chronic bleeding

lack of mature erythrocytes caused by inability to absorb vitamin B12 into the body

a group of hereditary bleeding disorders in which there is a defect in clotting factors necessary for the coagulation of blood

Hypertension

a common disorder in which blood pressure remains abnormally high (a reading of 140/90 mm Hg or greater)

Leukemia

cancer of white blood cells

Myocardial Infarction

heart attack

Phlebitis

inflammation of a vein

thrombophlebitis

inflammation of a vein associated with a clot

Varicose Vein

a vein that is dilated and twisted in appearance due to leaky venous valves
