John 17 months
residential nursery for 9 days. Protested on arrival and during despair process he was being attacked by the other children. When mother returned he rejected her and she says it took him months to settle after.
Jane 17 months
Residential for 10 days but was fostered my Robertson. Jane was allowed to keep her normal routine and take personal stuff with her, father also visited. Didnt go through protest phase but was always anxious. Was happy by mothers arrival but didnt want to leave Robertson as a bond had formed.
Good: timed sampling so they were objective with their research.
Studied each child in a lot of detail.
Bad:Temporal validity-cant generalise nowadays as was brought up differently then.
Jane should have been fostered by someone else and not her researcher.
