 Anonychia | Absence of nail |
| Brachyonychia | Shortened nail |
| Chromonychia | Abnormal nail color |
| Clubbing | Curvature in the horizontal axis and bulbous overgrowth of the tipof the digit |
| Habit tic deformity | Parallel horizontal grooves as a result of repetitive minor trauma |
| Koilonychia | Concaved or "spoon nail" |
| Leukonychia | White nail |
| Longitudinal Grooves | Can be caused by space-occupying lesions |
| Mee's line | transverse white lines that occur in the nail plate |
| Micronychia | Small nail |
| Onychauxis | thickening of the nail BED. May be caused by trauma or infection |
| Onychomadesis | Shedding of nail & lifting of the proximal nail bed. May be caused by chemo, viral infection, pemphigus vulgaris & casting |
| Onychorrhexis | longitudinal ridging. Seen in lichen planus, Darier's disease, gaut, hemochromatosis, hypothyroidism, PAD, psoriasis vulgaris, Reiter's syndrome & scleroderma |

| onychogryphosis | thickened NAIL PLATE, "ram's horn" deformity |
| Onychomycosis | fungal infection of the nail |
| Onychoschizia | splitting, frail, soft or thin nails |
| Pitting nails | punctuating depression on nail plate. Associated with psoriasis, lichen planus |
| Splinter Hemorrhages | small areas of bleeding under nails |
| Subungual exostosis | benign bony proliferation |
| Subungual Hematoma | beleeding under nail |
| Terry's onychodermal band | narrow band across distal nail bed, proximal to free edge. Often seen in liver cirrhosis |
| Onycholysis | lifting of the distal nail |
