| Adding Decimals | Line up the decimal points and add normally (ex. 23.62+8.369=31.989) |
| Subtracting Decimals | Line up the decimal points and subtract normally (ex. 20.02-1.36=18.66) |
| Multipling Decimals | Ignore the decimals and multiply normally. At the end, put the decimal back in according to its place value (ex. 9.65 and 5.1 would be moved in 3 places because you count in from the right) |
| Dividing Decimals by Decimals | Move the decimal in the number outside the box over as many places as you need to to make it a whole number. Then do the same with the number inside the box. If the 2nd number still has a decimal, bring it up and divide normally |
| Finding Percents | Multiply the number you want to find a percent of by a percent in decimal form (ex. 56% would be .56 and 3.4% would be .034 because you always move the decimal over two places) |
| Finding Sales Tax | Multiply the amount of money by 1.whatever the sales tax is (ex.for a sales tax of 6%, you multiply the price by 1.06) |
