Pythagorean Theorem

a2 + b2 = c2, use for right triangles

midpoint

the middle of a line

right

an angle that measures 90º

distance formula

d = rt (d is distance, r is rate/speed, t is time)

hypotenuse

the biggest side of a right triangle, opposite of 90º (c)

leg

the 2 small sides of a right triangle (a and b)

square

x^2, means multiply the number times itself

square root

equal factors; ex: 36: 66 NOT 94
