What is the setting of Tom Sawyer?
When Tom Sawyer, a mischievious young boy, meets Huckleberry Finn, they begin facing many adventures together. One evening they are exploring the graveyard and they witness a muder. This turns their lives upside down, because they have to pretend they never witnessed this. They are afraid if they turn in the guilty man, Injun Joe, they will be hunted down and punished by him. The boys again witness Injun Joe burying stolen treasure, and they are in a difficult position yet again. They play detective and try to solve the mystery themselves in order to further protect themselves. They finally are rewarded by finding the treasure in a cave, and Injun Joe is turned in and severely punished after Tom and Huck come clean and tell a judge about the murder.

Unfortunately he falls ill, but is taken care of by a kind rebel family named the Jackmans. He meets a beautiful young girl named Lucy Washbourne, who is a rebel, and they fall in love.
