Hong Kong city on southeast coast of China - built by British - owned by Britain until treaty ran out in late 1990's - communists have allowed free market to continue
Asian Tigers name given increasingly successful and wealthy countries of S.E. Asia - South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong - much manufacturing and high tech industries
