Plessy vs. Ferguson A supreme court decision that stated separate facilites for different racial groups were legal

Freedman's Bureau A Federal organization in operation after the Civil War that helped former slaves and war refuges with food, medical, and other aid as well as schooling.
Reconstruction Act of 1867 divided the south into 5 military districts and stated the Confederate states could not rejoin the Union until they guaranteed equality for all citzens and ratified the 14th Amendment.
