Creation of the Peoples' Republic of China
The Peoples' Republic of China, which is also known as China, was proclaimed by Mao Zedong, with Red China being a frequent appellation with the Peoples' Republic of China.

Communist Rebellions: Greece and Turkey
This is when the governments of Turkey and Greece were trying to fight off Communist rebellions. On March 12th, 1947, President Truman made a speech stating that the United States had the obligation to "support free people who are resisting attempted subjugation (enslavement) by arm minorities (Communists) or by outside pressures." The US Congress gave Truman $400 million to give assistance to Turkey and Greece. Also, as a result, both countries had successfully defeated the possible Communist takeovers.
