extinct species is a species that was once present on earth but has died out.
endangerd species a species in danger of becoming exinct is classified as an endangerd species.
threatened species if a species is likely to become endangered in the near futureit is classified as a threatened species.
introduced species is a species that moves into an ecosystem as a result of human actions.
Native Species are the original organisms in an esosystem.
Acid Rain forms when sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide released by industries and automobiles combine with water vapor in the air.
ozone depletion the thinning of the ozone layer is called ozone depletion.
convervation biology the study of methods for protecting biodiversity is called conversation biology.
habitat restoration is the process of taking action to bring a damaged habitat back to a healthy condition.
captive population is a population of organisms that is cared for by humans.
reintroduction programs return captive organisms to an area where the species once lived.
measurement is a way to describe the world with numbers.
estimation can help you make a rough measurement of an object.
precision is a description of how close measurementss are to each other.
accuracy when you compare a measurement to the real,actual,or accepted value,you are describing accuracy.
SI to aviod confusion scientists established the International System Of Units,or SI
meter is the SI unit of length .
volume the amount of space an object occupies is its volume.
mass the mass of an object measures the amount of matter in the object.
kilogram is the SI unit for mass.
weight is a measurement of force.
kelvin temperature is measured in SI with the kelvin.
rate is the amount of change of one measurement in a given amount of time.
table displays information in rows and columns so that it is easier to read and understand.
graph is used to collect ,organize ,and summarize data in a visual way.
line graph shows the relationship between two varaibles.
bar graph uses rectangular blocks ,or bars ,of varying sizes to show the relationships among varaibles.
circle graph shows the parts of a whole.
