public space consists of the area beyond 12 feet between you and others—the distance at which you expect public speeches and oral reading to take place
body language use of facial expressions, eye contact, gestures, posture, and movement to communicate
paralanguage using pitch, volume, rate, tone, and pauses to communicate meaning
