| ArĂȘtes- | sharp, jagged ridge formed between cirques |
| Horn- | sharp, pyramid-like peak formed where several arĂȘtes join |
| Cirque- | bowl-shaped depression produced by a valley glacier |
| Roches Moutonnees- | mountains or rocks that have been carved out by glaciers running over them. |
| Hanging valley- | small abandoned glacial valley suspended on a mountain above the main glacial valley |
| Erratic- | large boulder transported and deposited by a glacier |
| Glacial Drift- | sediments deposited by a glacier |
| Till- | unsorted rock material deposited by a glacier |
| Stratified drift- | glacial deposit that has been sorted and layered by the actions of streams or meltwater |
| Meltwater- | melted ice flowing from a glacier |
| Moraines- | landforms made from glacial till |
| Lateral moraines- | unsorted material deposited along the sides of a valley glacier |
| Medial moraine- | ridge of unsorted glacial material along the center of a valley glacier |
| Ground moraine- | unsorted material left beneath a glacier when the ice melts |
| Drumlins- | long, low, tear-shaped mound of till |
| Terminal moraine- | till deposited at the leading edge of a melting glacier |
| Outwash plain- | deposit of stratified drift in front of a glacier |
| Kettles- | depression in a glacier outwash plain |
| Eskers- long, | winding ridge of gravel and course sand deposited by a glacier |
