Description

Kanji given for all expressions, but most will be written in kana most of the time. (uk) denotes an expression that's usually in kana. Some may be interesting to see in kanji though, since someone who knows a lot of kanji may be able to "pick out" the literal meaning of the expression. It probably won't, but maybe it will help when thinking of which situation each expression is used for.
