Chemical change is when an object changes in temp. color, size, smell, taste and you cannot change it back. Example if you burned a piece of wood to ashes, it changes in color, smell, size and temp. You can't get it back either.
Physical change is when something changes fro one state of matter to another, but can be changed back. Example if you took some water and froze it it would be a physical change, but you can melt it and get it back.
